Welcome to my page! I’m so happy to virtually meet you!
Here’s a little bit of info about me, I hope that I will get to know a bit about you too!
Connection, Inspiration, Integrity and Playfulness are what guide me.
I am a developer who is passionate about finding peoples strengths, and letting them see their own potential, being a facilitator for them to shine their brightest. I am a free spirit and a dreamer who believes that everything is possible. I jump at all opportunities that fall into my lap. I am an includer and I love to stretch the circle wider. I am a source of support, love, laughter, and light and I love to spread the sparkle to those around me.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC where at an early age I learned to appreciate all forms of movement and the great outdoors. As a kid I was registered in every activity you can imagine from ballet and gymnastics to soccer and basketball – and loved it all! I remember going to my very first yoga class in my grade 12 year as part of my gym class and I think I smirked the whole time not really understanding this whole idea of slowing down or of being ‘mindful’.
Fast forward to a few years later when I was in my senior year at university in Montreal where I was in need of some major stress release and a sense of community and the word Yoga was reintroduced into my life. I started going to an Ashtanga studio a couple times a week and I felt so much lighter and clearer than I had in quite some time. When I moved back to Vancouver after graduation I kept up my practice and decided to participate in a 40 day yoga challenge that my studio was offering. It became so clear to me during this challenge that I wanted to become a teacher and that I had found my purpose. This is what I was meant to do. The positive transformative power that yoga has brought to my life, improving my state of mind, health and overall well-being is contagious. I feel so lucky to be able to share this with others. The amount of joy it brings me to teach and the idea that I can be involved in someone else’s healing, journey, adventure – whatever you may like to call it is fascinating, incredible and humbling.
In 2011 I moved to Australia with my boyfriend (now husband) and did my first teacher training in Byron Bay, Australia. I have since done further trainings with Power Living Australia, Yoga and Integrative Medicine Institute, Rainbow Kids Yoga, and the Semperviva Yoga College. I am currently teaching Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Prenatal and Mom and Bubs Yoga in Courtenay, BC.
My classes are fun, dynamic, intentional and empowering.
